This week’s Local Eyes video of the week is from Hamilton-based singer/songwriter Vox Dawn. ‘It Is Well’ is the first single from the debut Ep ‘Sacred Spaces’ out now.
Here’s what Vox Dawn has to say about it:
“With much patience this album grew from a place that was journeyed. ‘Sacred Spaces’ is derived from the words ‘Wāhi Tapu’ in te reo Māori. This album emphasises spaces within the social content, particularly those that have impacted our culture. It speaks of significant times in our history, life, relationships and endeavours.
This album emanates from the place where a soulstress meets a rhyme, a space where grace meets gritty.”
