Unknown Mortal Orchestra‘s 3rd album Multi-Love, nreleased in May is a mix of psychedelic funk and alt pop, and showcases Ruban Nielson’s skills as both a producer and songwriter. The album is full of hooks and musical earworms that burrow into your brain, resurfacing to haunt your memory throughout the day. ‘The World Is Crowded’ is a perfect example: even after one listen, the vocal melody replays itself over and over in your brains internal speaker. The song is built upon a classic funk groove which harks back to some of Sly & The Family Stone’s finest moments. We couldn’t ignore this song and throughout this week neither will you!
