Displaying a unique collection of both native and exotic species The Reptile Park is the only zoo in New Zealand that specialises in reptiles and is home to lizards, tortoises and turtles, alligators, tuataras and tarantula!

Perfect for budding photographers, school trips or a family day out. Enjoy a pleasant walk or picnic at the tables set around the park and discover these fascinating creatures in enclosures landscaped to suit their individual requirements.

New Zealand’s only Reptile Park is located about an hours drive [90 km] north of Auckland. Take State Highway one past the beach town of Orewa and the hotwater springs and pools at Waiwera until you reach  the township of Warkworth where the signs will direct you to the road going to Leigh [or Goat Island Marine Reserve]. Follow this road through Matakana township and the seaside settlement of Whangateau until you reach Ti Point Road turning to the right. It is about 20 minutes drive from Warkworth and 1.5 km before Leigh. The Reptile Park is about 200 metres up this road.
