SPYCC ft. HIGH HØØPS ‘Other Lover’

Considering how involved he is in the local hiphop scene, it’s surprising that we’ve never featured Spycc with the tune of the week. Reppin for Onehunga, he first came to our attention with the Spycc & INF ‘Summer Madness EP‘ in 2011, and followed that up with his solo release ‘Self Progression (free DL link)’ in 2012. The past 2 years we’ve been drip fed a handful of single tacks (Slow Down, Bad Habit) and kept tabs on his guest features with MBM, The Daylight Robbery, David Dallas, Raiza Biza, PNC and Jay Knight.
Teaming up with Auckland producer HIGH HØØPS, ‘Other Lover’ is a super smooth affair which finds Spycc rhyming over a beat which borrows heavily form Keni Burke’s 1982 classic ‘Risin To The Top’. Assuming this is the first taste of a new Spycc EP, we’re looking forward to hearing more from the bro.
