It’s not often we get the opportunity to revisit a track we’ve featured in the past, but this week we present a 2016 rework of Raiza Biza‘s “Pyramids”. We featured the original version back in 2012, just before Riaza dropped his debut album Dream Something. Fast forward 4 years and local DJ / Producer ILL BAZ has just released a collection of remixes called Ill Baz Bootlegs.
The 3 track release sees Ill Baz rework Eno x Dirty ‘How My Day Goes’, Third3ye ‘Black Tea’ and Raiza Biza ‘Pyramids’. Ill Baz has worked performed alongside all these artists before, and is often the go-to DJ for MCs when performing live.
Baz first came on the scene publishing the Distorted View magazine, before joining the Tuesday Drive ‘Brew Up’ show on Base FM. He worked with The Shade, Eddie Numbers, The No Problemos, Nuo, Third3ye, Angelo King, Jono Das, and has a batch of his own beats and remixes floating around soundclound. You’ll find him most weekends rocking the dancefloor at various clubs around Auckland City and has toured as DJ for Raiza Biza and Che Fu.
