Festival Director Gareth Popham says that the ninth edition of the Mangawhai countryside festival is shaping up to be the best yet.

“Every year we work hard to put together a great Northern Bass experience and with record sales so far this year we seem to really have hit our stride in the busy NZ festival season.

“New Year’s Eve will be particularly special this year from celebrating 25 years deep for the legendary Metalheadz crew, to hosting one of the last ever performances by Northern Bass favourites Foreign Beggars – and of course, Fat Freddy’s Drop sets are always a summer highlight.”

Tickets are selling faster than ever before, with Fuzen Lounge and Campervan passes already sold out and three-day passes close to gone. Music fans should confirm their plans and book now at theticketfairy.com.

About Northern Bass

For eight years, Northern Bass has brought together music lovers and music makers for three days of New Year celebrations in the rural setting of Mangawhai, just an hour north of Auckland, and the 2019/2020 event promises to be no different with tickets selling at record rates.

Northern Bass is about music, with three stages packed with performances from our favourite legendary and emerging acts from New Zealand and around the world, but it’s not only about what’s on the three stages. There’s an onsite campground, and even an on-site Bass Hotel for those keen to fully immerse themselves in the festival experience, but there are also many baches and campsites in the Mangawhai and Kaiwaka area. If you are camping onsite, you will need to purchase a Camping pass. If you are not staying onsite you can get to and from Northern Bass using our dedicated bus service running from Auckland, Whangarei, Mangawhai, Mangawhai heads, Matakana, Waipu, Ruakaka, Warkworth, Wellsford, Uretiti and Langs beach.

The festival is set up to make sure that you can get everything you need on site from a camp store to over a dozen food outlets, multiple bars, hot showers, a re-designed toilet area and a band of Green Team volunteers keeping an eye on waste, composting and the Love Your Tent initiative.

With a purposefully relaxed and accepting vibe, Northern Bass is about bringing in the New Year with your friends, to the best possible soundtrack.
