More artists have been added to Splore Festival’s 2016 line-up including Australian neo soul group Hiatus Kaiyote Warp Records’ supremo Nightmares on Wax and UK rising hip hop star, Little Simz.

Hiatus Kaiyote will be returning to  New Zealand for their first festival show after their recent successful, sold-out venue shows in Auckland and Wellington. Their debut album ‘Tawk Tomahawk’ released by Flying Buddha was rewarded with a Grammy nomination for ‘Best R&B Performance’ courtesy of LP highlight, ‘Nakamarra’ (featuring Q-Tip) in 2013.

Over the past 25 years, Nightmares On Wax has been an inescapable name for anyone familiar with the intricacies of UK hip-hop and its various sub-genres. If you have been to a bar within the past 20 years, you’ll have heard the music of George Evelyn and his collaborators.

Regarded as UK’s hottest hip hop property right now, Little Simz will be touring her acclaimed debut album at Splore. Pitchfork has described her delivery as a mix of Lauryn Hill and Kendrick Lamar. She has enjoyed co-signs from Kendrick Lamar, ASAP Rocky and J. Cole.

Also added to the 2016 international line up are Austrian house duo KlangkarussellBerlin punk/cabaret performer BonaparteBrazilian rapper BNegão from the reggae/hiphop band Planet Hemp, Italian electro swing DJ Dr Cat. and returning for their second Splore, jungle legends the Ragga Twins.

Local performers added to the Splore roster include Weird Together DJ’s, Greg Churchill, Eastern Bloc, Troy Samuela, Dylan C, The Professor, Russell Brown, Lady Flic, Guy Johnson, The Dastardly Bounder and Pippin.
