Newtown Sound Stage at Newtown Festival

Wellingtonians. You lucky, lucky bitches. And the rest of the country – if Homegrown hasn’t tempted you to travel to the capital this weekend, then the killer line up at the Newtown Festival’s Street Fair should do the trick.
This free street party has 8 different stages, one of them being the Newtown Sound Stage with not only some of Wellington’s best acts – Brockaflowersaurus Rex, Mara TK, Upper Hutt Posse, Alphabethead, Ayesha, L40 & Israel Starr, Newtown Sound’s DJ Art – and even some acts borrowed from Auckland – Moisty Atsushi’s Rocksteady Allstars and our very own Jazz!
Then there are the acts on the other stages – Rio Hemopo, Newtown Rocksteady, Louis Baker, Mara and the Bushkas, Estere, Latin Aotearoa and a whole lot more.
And of course there will be all kinds of delicious refreshments on offer as Riddiford Street closes to vehicles for the day.
