MOISTY ATSUSHI’S ROCKSTEADY ALLSTARS ‘Fire Train’

Written by on December 10, 2012

Atsushi Ukito, aka “Moisty Atsushi” emigrated to New Zealand in 1999 from Japan. With a near-obsessive passion for 1960s Jamaican ska and rocksteady music, Atsushi started a solo project in 2003, evolving it by 2007 into popular Auckland ska/reggae band Atsushi and The Moisties. 5 years later, the band name has evolved several times we it’s current state is MOISTY ATSUSHI’S ROCKSTEADY ALLSTARS.

Released in December on 7″vinyl, “Fire Train” has a classic rocksteady sound delivered by a great band that pull it off with conviction. Hit up the folks at Conch Records to get yourself a copy. >> Moisty Atsushi – Fire Train / Poorman Song
