Live Painting: Forum, a celebration of graffiti writing

A one day live painting extravaganza featuring ten artists from around New Zealand working on Avondale’s graffiti wall.
Come down to Avondale town centre and see Berst, Ceap, Erok, Freak, Gasp, Haser, Ikarus, Kelly Spencer, Kezam, and Phat1 show their skill. These artists are global leaders in the urban contemporary art field, many working in graffiti writing and urban art for over 20 years.
DJs will be onsite providing the sounds to accompany the painting.
This is a drug and alcohol-free community event.
Forum is a new event that celebrates graffiti writing as an evolving and thriving art form. Taking place in the Auckland suburb of Avondale, Forum brings together 10 of New Zealand’s top and most active writers including Berst, Ceap, Erok, Freak, Gasp, Haser, Ikarus, Kezam, Phat1, and Kell Sunshine for a weekend of painting and talks about graffiti as an art form. Forum has received support from Creative New Zealand, the Whau Local Board, Auckland Council, Auckland Libraries, Base FM and Phantom Billstickers.
