After establishing a good musical relationship with the Neither Nor EP in 2011, JDubs & Dj Alias have joined forces once again under the new name LIGHTWORKS.
JDubs’ introduction to many was through the collaborations / appearance on the Pacific Heights album “In A Quite Storm”. This was followed up by his debut album “The Keynotes” and more recently the “Neither Nor EP” alongside Dj Alias. Not only does he posses a conscious emcee style and flow, he also has a good ear for production – as evident with “Better Off”.
Alias’ profile as a producer has grown locally & internationally over the last 12 months, with recent releases on Junkfood Records & Boogie Boutique UK. The former Friday Drive host knows how to get a great sound, as you can hear for yourself on his soundcloud page. Recent remixes include K-Lab & Sola Rosa.
Lightworks is the name these 2 artists work under. With JDubs ideas and Alias at the controls we can only expect quality results. Lightworks aim to feature quality local guest emcee’s, kicking off with Mista C (aka MC Dames / Shine Forum).
