‘Jimmy Boy‘ is the first single from L.A.B., the new project from Brad & Stu Kora, Joel Shadbolt (Batucada Sound Machine) and Ara Adams-Tamatea (Katchafire).
Taken off their debut album set for release in November, ‘Jimmy Boy‘showcases the L.A.B. sound – trademark Kora grooves put through Adams-Tamatea’s reggae/dub filter, and combined with Shadbolt’s blues roots.
L.A.B. have established themselves in three years as one of the best live acts in New Zealand, on the back of performances at Homegrown & Bay Dreams, and support slots for UB40 and Katchafire’s 24-date Australian tour. Their blend of soulful-rock and electronic-funk has gained fans across Australasia, and their debut self-titled album is set to fulfill the promise of their live set.
