In this week’s Local Eye’s video, Jess B recruits Abdul Kay as they take ‘Time Out’.New Zealand’s rap queen night-time escapades are captured in the latest video for the track, ‘Time Out’, which is directed by ConnorFilms and is the third release from her latest EP, With nocturnal colours drenched in neon, JessB and Abdul make their way through the central city lights. Quick cuts and snapshots altering the aspect ratio create a flickering and fast pace journey; matching with the theme of ticking time. The beat (in classic JessB fashion) is timeless and nostalgic, with the two rappers’ flows blending seamlessly with the melody, rattling beat, and fast-paced visuals. The video comes the same week as the announcement of JessB’s MTV EMA announcement for ‘Best New Zealand Act’.
