Part 2 of the Island Base documentary, the crew are back in Samoa and this time with Australian soul/R&B artists DTP – Downtoplease. Continuing our mission to re-connect the sounds of the South Pacific. This trip is about re-connecting DTP with their homeland, school visits and finding new local talent through workshops… Damn did we find them!

A jam packed week of collaborations and performances, this was another memorable project which happened exactly a year ago today.

Watch Pt.1

Check out Pt.1 which covers the launch of Island Base FM back in March 2019. What started as a crazy idea ended up a reality in just 3 months! Our very own sister station Island Base Samoa was created from the ground up, it wasn’t easy but we did it.

We took over International award winning artists, held back to back launch parties, put up our own equipment and opened a brand new station all with the intention of connecting the people and sounds of the South Pacific.
