This week’s Local Eye’s video the week is from Gino October with Where Do I Stand?, the first track taken from his upcoming project titled The Fall.
Born in 1994 in the township of Mitchells Plain, just outside Cape Town in South Africa, Gino immigrated to Aotearoa with his family in 2006, aged 12. “Some of my older cousins had finished high school, gone to university and still couldn’t find a job,” he explains. “I think my parents could see how hard it was to get anywhere in Cape Town, so they wanted to move to a place where there were more opportunities for us.”

And a follow up single ‘New Day’, featuring SWIDT’s INF, due out Jun 9th.
The Fall will be dropping on July 9th.
