To celebrate the launch of the brand new Frybread Radio website we bring you this week’s featured DJ – Mark Yela! Mark runs our Sunday morning breakfast show, Frybread Radio, along with Reggie D. The show is described as “…easy Sunday morning sounds the whole family can enjoy as well as soothing the souls and heads of those of you who are probably just waking up from a big night out”. Hiphop, soul and reggae. If you’re lucky, you might catch Mark dropping some tunes on Bread & Butta, the Thursday night show where Reggie D brings you the freshest new hiphop.
The Frybread bros are some of our most consistent DJs when it comes to uploading their shows on to mixcloud so that listeners who missed it the first time round, can get their fix at their own time. They then post links to these shows on the Frybread Radio Facebook page, along with links to interesting blogs, gigs, new artists and downloads.
To pull all of that together in one place, Mark has just created frybreadradio.com
The website’s pretty fly looking and you can listen to both Frybread and Bread & Butta shows, check out photos straight out of the studio and find links to all the dope artists, producers, blogs and independent record labels they’re always educating us on.
And if you’re looking for something to do straight after work on Wednesdays, get some live Frybread Radio in your life at Rakinos where Mark Yela is on the decks with Reggie D every week from 5pm – 9pm.
When Mark’s not doing all this, he’s bring up Luka, the kid behind some of Base FM’s best stings, and Mateo with his beautiful Brazilian lady, Caroline.
