Villette is a one-woman band. Not only does she sing, she’s also a producer, she can DJ and she’s a songwriter. Born and raised in New Zealand she’s our equivalent to the likes of SZA and Kehlani.

Her sound is a mix of RnB, Hip Hop & Electronic Soul. In 2016 she signed with Red Bull Sound Select which provided her with opportunities to travel within New Zealand and to LA to work in studio sessions with prominent writers and to perform.

Villette has been handpicked to open for artists and labels such as Stonesthrow Records, MNDSGN, J-Rocc, Egyptian Love, Peanut Butter Wolf, Soulection (Sosupersam, Lakim & Jarreau Vandal), Flako, Hucci and most recently AlunaGeorge to name a few. She has featured on popular influential websites Complex, Noisey and Sniffers and her latest mention was on Pigeons & Planes for two vocal contributions on UV boi’s ‘Returned Alone’ EP.

RAIZA BIZA
When Hamilton based Rwandan rapper Raiza Biza’s smooth baritone and contemplative storytelling blurs into the jazz/soul-tinged beats he favours, it’s hard to not be swept away. Quickly, you’re drawn into the story of a young Tupac, Mos Def and Talib Kweli loving immigrant who made New Zealand his home, while simultaneously reaching out to a global audience, and all through music.

Over four street albums and a relentless touring schedule, Raiza and his AmmoNation collective have entertained audiences nationwide, through to Europe and Australia, while reaching out to listeners overseas online. For this young talent, taking things to the next level feels inevitable.
