EVENT: Free – Dance Youth Project

This October and November, youth communities across Auckland will be given the opportunity to learn and perform Dancehall, Hip-hop, Afro-fusion and Ugandan dance with an award-winning international dance artist for FREE.

BASE FM are calling upon all youth (ages 10+) in Auckland to engage in a series of free workshops and all come together at the end to perform in two live showcases.

Workshops will be run by multi-award-winning international dance artist Antonio Bukhar who has performed in top European theatres, international festivals and worked with many diverse cultures all over the world. From teaching dance therapy programmes in northern Uganda to workshops in the Netherlands for Alzheimer’s patients, Antonio’s mission is to engage and empower communities through dance.

Open to all youth from all communities. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to dance and be part of something special. Dance experience is not a requirement, only passion and energy!
