EVENT: Fat Freddy’s Drop Tour Announcement

Fat Freddy’s Drop ‘Trickle Down’ NZ Summer Tour 2019
Saturday 19 January – Western Springs Park

It wouldn’t be a Kiwi summer without a Fat Freddy’s summer roady and once again they’ve enlisted some incredible tour bus buddies.

Fat Freddy’s Drop are stoked to announce that Unknown Mortal Orchestra will be playing in the summer shows in Auckland’s Western Springs, Christchurch’s Hagley Park and Queenstown’s John Davies Oval.

In support of their latest album ‘Sex & Food’ as well as ‘II’, Unknown Mortal Orchestra are currently on an epic tour across the globe.  The New Zealand leg of their tour culminated in a triumphant sold-out performance at Auckland’s Town Hall.

Freddy’s MC Slave is the band’s number one UMO fanboy, remarking, “They’re bad-ass musicians who’ve been trail blazing around the world big time. We’re lucky to have them with us for our New Zealand summer roady”.

Additional new comers to the Freddy’s tour bus also include dirt-blues extraordinaire Troy Kingi and Aotearoa’s own roots and reggae queen Silva MC.  Returning on tour will be London-legend Norman Jay MBE, Aotearoa’s Hip Hop Soul queen Ladi6 and the legendary Logg Cabin.

Having played at some of the biggest EU festivals including a sold out 10k capacity show at Zitadelle in Berlin, Fat Freddy’s Drop have already sold out upcoming shows in Brussels, Copenhagen, Köln, Manchester, Glasgow and 1 of 2 shows in London.

Keep the Kiwi summer tradition going and grab your tickets!
