Silva MC has been making waves for a minute both here in New Zealand and overseas. Silva has solidified herself as the Queen of New Zealand’s roots and dancehall scene and shows excellence in her ability both as a vocalist and an MC. Most recently she featured on the brand new Jess B – ‘Take It Down’ under her alias Rubi Du.
Her talented and unique style is inspired by her father’s Jamaican roots and her love for hip-hop beats and soul sounding grooves. Live-on-stage she is untouchable, and Silva has worked alongside The Krates (Che Fu), Dam Native, Ladi6, Cornerstone Roots, Iron Will & The Iron Hammers, Dj Heart Official, Jah Red Lion, Maya & Vanya and more recently Jess B.
