This instalment Sandy chats to Carawei, an audio producer, multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter based in Auckland.
She is the founder of ‘Milky Avenue Studios’, an LGBTQ+ music studio and creative community based in Ellerslie, and she is a producer for many emerging kiwi artists such as Phodiso, Ray Leslie and many more!
As a queer woman, she discovered herself through music and performance with The Dust Palace and has since collaborated on many projects with the circus theatre company, both on stage and behind the scenes.
Late 2020, she formed alt-rock band, “Venom Dolls” with drummer, Summah Auvae and Singer/Bassist, Jess Frank, and has been shaking the underground scene in Auckland.
