DAVID DALLAS ‘Never Let You Down’

Written by on September 28, 2012

“All Songs inspired by, sampled or interpolated from the catalogue of Jamiroquai.”

Apart from the date & the track list, this is the only release info on the download page of David Dallas‘ latest EP “Buffalo Man”. It’s surprising to find that the rapper responsible for the hugely successful “Rose Tint” album, is also a big fan Jamiroquai’s musical ouput.

With David Dallas’ signature flow & delivery this is most definitely a HipHop record, while producers Fire & Ice use the original source material to give “Buffalo Man” a different groove & more soulful aspect than we’re used to hearing.

“Never Let You Down” borrows one of the baddest bassline grooves from the track “Everyday”, originally released on Jamiroquai’s Travelling Without Moving album of 1996.
