CHAII ‘MIGHT JUST’ FEAT. KINGS & ELEVEN7FOUR

Written by on July 26, 2021

This week’s Local Eyes is from Persian-Kiwi rapper CHAII. Following ‘Oh Nah Yeah’, her last collaboration with Mad Decent’s Party Favour, CHAII has shared her latest single, ‘Might Just’ featuring Kings and eleven7four.

The stacked local lineup features Base FM’s favourite Zimbabwe-born twin brother rap duo, eleven7four, and Maori MC Kings, as the three acts unite to deliver an undeniable party anthem about embracing the unknown. Shaped around slinky guitar riffs and slapping 808’s, each rapper adds an invigorating dynamic to the track while CHAII expands her vocal palette from snappy raps to a sing-along chorus, floating on a smooth melodic delivery on the infectious hook. The collab arrives with a music video directed by Connor Pritchard, featuring dizzying, extravagant scenes between a plane and poolside, bringing the party with her wherever CHAII goes.“I was in the studio with Rory Noble, Kings, and eleven7four at a time where we were in and out of lockdowns,” CHAII details. “We were all in a similar mind space of how crazy the world is – and you never know what might just happen.”
