‘Noctures’ is the collaboration between producer Bromelain (Nick Hyder) and African musician Sam Manzanza (father of Myele Manzanza). The release features 3 alternate mixes of the same tune, all with their own distinct flavour: the club friendly ‘Tech Mix’, the livelier percussive ‘Afrobeat mix’, and the deeper Rhythm & Sound-esque ‘Dub mix’.
“This collaboration is a meeting place between Congolese improvisation and robust Dub Techno that evolved naturally over 2017. Our sound world is based on a directional, no nonsense approach to rhythm mixed with a muggy, heavily processed top layer.”
