TPPA – Opposition events around NZ

Up here at BaseFM we are doing our part to raise awareness about the TPPA a dodgy undemocratic “trade” deal that could have dire consequences for many New Zealanders.

Over the next two weeks there will be a number of events related to the TPPA dedicated to educating the public about the possible implications of the deal.

Friday 29th Jan – TPPA Don’t Sign Tour – Dunedin – Lori Wallach & Jane Kelsey

International TPPA experts Lori Wallach, from Public Citizen and Professor Jane Kelsey from University of Auckland will talk about the latest research, politics, analysis and actions. This will be followed by a political panel.

Sunday 31st Jan – TPPA FREE ZONE: Peoples Protestival!

This is a FREE protest festival, run by the people, for the people, in protest of the upcoming signing of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement! There will be a number of speakers and an excellent Music line up including BaseFM’s own ‘Oaariki’, Co Host of ‘Base Breakfast’ and ‘The Mixtape’

30th Jan – Reject TPP Rally – Christchurch

4th Feb – TPPA: Don’t Sign! National Protest Auckland

4th Feb – TPPA Blockade – ‘You Shall Not Pass’
