Base Welcomes UK’s “Selector After Dark”
Written by Admin on March 5, 2021
In partnership with the British Council, Base welcomes a new syndicated show: “UK’s Selector After Dark” to Saturdays at 12 AM – 1 AM, sending waves of the best new UK music to New Zealand shores. Jazz, grime, indie, and electronica – or anywhere in between – each week putting together truly eclectic shows with artists and labels who are leading the way in UK music.
After Dark Selector brings the sounds of the UK club scene to the world curated by Jamz Supernova – with an exclusive, uninterrupted one-hour mix from a different UK DJ every week. This show also provides a gateway to music beyond the UK, dipping into the key sounds emerging around the world which in turn influence the music made in the UK.
To celebrate 20 years of Selector After Dark, each month archive mixes of years gone by from globally renowned musicians will be revitalized for your listening pleasure – features on this special so far have seen the likes of Bicep & Jakwob and Scuba.
Tune in next Saturday at 12 AM to catch the first show airing on Base!
