Tali is internationally renown as one of the most prolific Female MC/Vocalists to emerge from the Electronic Dance music scene – particularly for her work and groundbreaking achievements within Drum n Bass.
Classically trained from a young age in both piano and singing, Tali was inspired by Jazz, Soul, Blues, Show tunes and Rap music, creating a unique concoction of material that has influenced her songwriting and more recently – her production.

Her last album ‘Wolves’ is a self produced effort of ElectronicSoul infused with Hip Hop elements which went to #14 in the NZ album charts. Her latest release ‘KETA’ (dropping Nov 4th) is a collaborative EP which features vocals from Kings and a cameo from Bailey Wiley, and contains production from both NZ and International producers.

Over the years Tali has combined her experience as a professional touring artist, songwriter, producer and trained teacher, to become a music mentor both through the NZ Music Commission In – schools program and independently. She is also a sought after inspirational speaker, and aids in the development and support of Women in Electronic music.

CHICORELLI
Host of the Liquid Lowdown show on Base FM, Chicorelli plays the smoothest liquid Drum and Bass.

Chiccoreli aka Benn Sheppard, originally Hails from North London and moved to the land of milk & honey in October 2011. Chiccoreli is a multi-genre DJ/Turntablist with a particular passion for Drum n Bass, and has played clubs, festivals and parties throughout England and Europe.

While Chiccoreli has always appreciated the full spectrum of Drum n Bass, he particularly enjoys mixing deeper, more soulful sounds. So expect a show containing smooth rolling beats, and bad boy bass lines, giving you the best that International Drum n Bass has to offer.

SOLKAI
A true lover of good rhythm, sweet melodies and deep baselines, Solkai brings his own style of sound to the stream. Discovering a love of Drum and Bass in the late 90’s, Solkai didn’t stay complacent, always updating his collection across different styles and genres. Expect a bag packed full of the smoothest cuts and at times, the rarest grooves.

LAURA LUSH
Laura Lush has been pleasuring the aural stratospheres above Auckland and other select corners of Aotearoa for almost a decade. Rooted in the headnod of Hip Hop, she represents she-rappers and female producers as often as she can, explores the realms of old and new wave R’n’B, and loves a good dose of romantic trap.
‘Lushelections’ on Base fm. Tuesday’s 6pm-8pm.

PK
Philip Kelly has been collecting records for over 30 years. His involvement with electronic music culture spans late 80s visits to the legendary Hacienda in Manchester, mid 90s Metalheadz nights at London’s Blue Note and a decade living in NYC dancing at Body & Soul and Deep Space – as well as making many visits to Detroit during this time.

He works as a graphic designer and has produced vinyl packaging for a wide array of labels including: Kompakt (Cologne), Statra (NYC), Defected (UK), Still Music (Chicago) and Mahogani Music (Detroit). PK was a regular DJ at renowned Lower East Side venue NuBlu during the early 2000s and returned to NZ in 2010.

His sets on Base are played from vinyl and his selections are a reflection of his wide ranging taste – from vintage jazz, soul and dub, to all manner of contemporary dancefloor goodness – everything is possible on Random Acts of Base. NZ dance music maverick Harry The Bastard regularly joins PK to provide extra weight with select cuts from his archive of the finest vinyl gleaned from 20+ years working in the record biz in London and NYC.
