Base FM in partnership with the Fringe District, Ngā Rangatahi Toa & Skinny Jump proudly presents: Take it to the streets – a LIVE outdoor series!
To celebrate music month with our local community, we are taking Base FM’s prime shows, Breakfast & Drive to the streets! – the main road in Kingsland to be exact.
For the month of May, Wednesday Breakfast from 8am – 10am will be broadcasting live and direct from outside Atomic Coffee. Friday Drive will be situated in front of The Kingslander from 4pm – 6pm.
For this series we are featuring guest appearances from talented local artists: Latin Aotearoa, Bella Shanti, SASSY, DiCENZ, Sola Rosa, Krispy & The Pooch, Ivy Maraey, Sam V and the y$o crew, Mindas Mind, Luke W, Hans., The RVMES, IMUGI, Rubi Du and more.
Our youth mentees, Sylas, Kau and Rylee will also step up for some live performances. Sylas and Kau have been apart of our Island Base Youth Mentoring Program since 2021. Rylee starting recently with mentoring from the wonderful Sandy Mill.
Alongside interviews with music related movers & shakers. Giveaways will be happening with goodies donated from businesses in the area.
