Listeners can now support our mission to be the station that rules that nation!
“Become a Base supporter” launches today. This is an initiative that gives our community the option to make a one time, monthly or annual contribution through Press Patron’s media funding platform.
Base FM’s roots are the people behind the turntables: a passionate community who uses the unique platform to express themselves and pass on their musical knowledge.
Our roster of 100+ DJs across 63 different shows are an eclectic mix of Tāmaki Makaurau creative locals, the party go-ers and throwers, collectors and selectors, and above all, music lovers.
The Base community continues to push the best in local and international reggae, dancehall, dubstep, d&b, experimental electronic beats, hip-hop, boogie, jazz, funk, and soul.
There is no set playlist, instead giving the DJs 100% control over what is played on the station. This freedom ensures the music selections are always fresh and dynamic and not controlled by major labels but personal taste.
Keeping true to Base, everything we do will continue to be public and free to access. “Becoming a Base supporter” is providing an option for listeners to support our mission rather than erecting a paywall for exclusive content.
No matter how small or large, know that any support is making a difference.

Our goal from initial contributions is to create a better listening experience, with a new on-air automation system to fix any of the current transmitting issues.
This new chapter opens up the possibilities that we are capable of here at Base, after 106 days divided in lockdown we are itching to have a 2022 of unity and community.
