Joseph Vea – Find Me

Joseph Vea is a singer/songwriter somewhere in the realm of R&B/Soul in the Australian music scene. With a uniquely smooth and deep tone of voice, he explores multiple genres within each of his tracks. He is a musician, an educator, and a stay at home dad who has a lot to offer with the content in his music.

With only two single releases up to this point, Joseph definitely is headed in the right direction. Not only is the track sounding good, the lyrical content is right up our alley. “Find Me” is all about the addiction we face today to social media and screens/technology

Sanoi & Marcos Alonso – Meet the Boys

SANOI aka Jones Fisher is a musical magician hailing from Germany. Jonas was bitten by the electronica bug at a wholesome age of fourteen and after studying music it was not long before the hedonism and creativity of Berlin came calling. Plunging through techno genres his thirst for fresh brought him to N.Z in 2015 and has been impressing ever since.

Collaborating with Sanoi on “Meet the Boy”, Marcos Alonso is sure to blow your fringe back with his inimitable style, with a smile that steps into the room before he does. UK born, now based in windy Wellington, Marcos is equal parts DJ, producer, record label owner and entertainer extraordinaire. With decades of playtime in NZ and across Europe supporting the likes of Nickodemus and The Illustrious Blacks,

Together uniting forces to create bouncy downtempo deep house number with some sick guitar riffs that really show the lads had some fun making this one.

Rubi Du – D&G

D & G (Diamonds and Gold) is a heavy, thought provoking reggae tune written and performed by Rubi Du. Produced by j.A.f.A Sound’s Rob Smith, the single is a follow up of Rubi’s first j.A.f.A release “Lock Up” last year that received radio play from BBC Radio’s Don Letts, Ras Kwame on London’s Capital Xtra, and selectors worldwide.

This track is an anthem calling out the excessive greed in our society today. Rubi’s insightful lyrics express concern for humanity’s collective consciousness and overall wellbeing while flowing beautifully over Rob’s legendary dub heavy production. The riddim is a take on the classic Paragons track ‘Man Nextdoor’ and features bonus melodica and trombone versions plus a heavy dub for the soundsystem crew.

Rubi’s hard-hitting lyrics and soulful tone, backed by a j.A.f.A Sound riddim proves that she remains Aotearoa’s ruling Reggae Queen!
