This week’s Local Eyes takes a look at one of this year’s Pacific Music Awards nominees in the Base FM NZ and Island Base FM Samoa Pacific Music Awards ‘Best Pacific Hip Hop Artist‘
It’s been a strong year for Pasifika hip hop, with the genre experiencing a whirlwind of activity in recent times. Heavyweights SWIDT have five nods in total this year and back in May 2018 the Onehunga hip-hop collective treated us to a cameo-filled video for their track ‘Off The Top’ featuring Diggy Dupé, MELODOWNZ, JessB, Rizván.
