For his first visit to New Zealand Alpha Steppa will preform an energetic live dub set, amplified over the mighty Lion Rockers Hi-Fi soundsystem, with support from the full lion rockers crew.
The son and nephew of respected dub heavyweights Alpha & Omega, Alpha Steppa has been surrounded by soundsystem and dubplate culture from a young age. Now a talented producer in his own right, his productions connect the dots between the music which he has grown up around and the new generation of UK bass music of which he is a part of. His dubbed out style draws upon the sounds of his musical heritage, filtered through an exploration of the newer sounds of deeper new roots, steppers and dubstep.
With his unique blend of forward thinking dub/dubstep and homage to roots/reggae, his releases have shown him to be front and centre in the evolution of these genres. A successful label owner, talented producer and energetic performer, expect Alpha Steppa to provide a memorable show just for New Zealander’s.
