CHOICE VAUGHAN ‘Eat People (feat. Tom Scott & Tyna Keelan)’
Written by Admin on August 13, 2013
Choice Vaughan is one of the many local beatmakers who have emerged in the last couple of years. Originally from Wellington, now based in Auckland, Choice Vaughan’s smooth boom-bap production style draws heavily on jazz, soul & funk samples he cites J.Dilla, 14KT, Apollo Brown, 9th Wonder, Oddisee and Ta-Ku as main influences. Choice Vaughan has worked with Tyna Keelan (Dubious Brothers, Recloose, 4Corners) and one of his beats (Flashback) was picked up by Raiza Biza for the album “Summer”.
Teaming up with Tom Scott & Tyna Keelan, “Eat People” is featured on www.theaudience.co.nz this month and are in the running for a $10,000 MakingTracks grant. Cast your daily vote here!
