Valley Funk Allstars is firing all cylinders in your direction on Saturday 20th July with turbo-boosted funk, slap happy rap, skank heavy reggae and full throttle disco at Mt Eden’s premier party venue, Ginger Minx.
Base FM faves Lowe1 and RIA are joined by resident Randomplay and kiwi Perth visitor Joe Revell. Joe’s heading back to Perth so we want to send him off in style. Since moving to Australia on 2011, Joe started seriously focusing on the slower and funkier side of breaks, primarily repping Ghetto Funk and Glitch hop. Since tapping into that sound he has released tunes and remixes on Breakspoll award winning “Best New Label” – Scour records (UK), Loop (NZ), Fat bird sounds (Por) and BBE(UK) securing him a worldwide following which he continues to build upon as he takes his game to the next level with every DJ set and tune that he makes.
Joe will also be rocking Djing a 2 hour guest spot on Base FM Friday 19th of July, 12 – 2 PM. Tune in to get a sample of what’s to come on Saturday
