He stands as one of the world’s most talented and accomplished rappers, now Javotti Media / 3D and Frequency Media Group are pleased to announce the release of American artist Talib Kweli’s fifth studio album, Prisoner of Conscious in New Zealand on May 10.
From his work with Mos Def as one-half of Black Star, partnering with producer Hi-Tek for Reflection Eternal, collaborating with Kanye West and Madlib to releasing landmark solo material, the Brooklyn-based artist has earned his stripes as one of the most musically exciting, lyrically-gifted, socially aware and politically insightful rappers to emerge in the last 20 years.
The new album gives even more credence to the claims and showcases the top-tier lyricism and unshakeable rhymes Talib Kweli has become renowned for.
Three years in the making, Prisoner of Conscious is an album he has invested more time in than any of his previous releases, and has seen him exploring new vibes and exciting collaborations.
With feature artists including Nelly, Kendrick Lamar, Miguel, Curren$y, Marsha Ambrosius and Busta Rhymes, Talib Kweli is in very good company as he bumps from track to track with some of hip-hop’s elite.
