SHORT FILM: Bilal "West Side Girl"

Bilal has just released a short film rather than your typical music video for his track “West Side Girl”. Clocking in at over 11 minutes, the film opens with Bilal and his “co-worker” having a hypothetical discussion over who they’d make a move for if they were a post-divorce Obama. The narrative, following the soul singer as a security guard driving around his bosses mistress, unfolds along portions of the track.

We’ll let you decide what you think of the film but there’s no question that the track is tight and it’s refreshing to see artists doing something a little more creative with their music videos.
