“I think ‘First World Problem’ is about modern love in a crumbling empire,” says Ruban Nielson aka. Unknown Mortal Orchestra about the tune behind this weeks LOCAL EYES video.
The video described as a dance through the desert for the psychedelic rockers, was the brain child of directors James Lees and dancer Kiani del Valle who also performs throughout the flick with fellow dancer Derek Schiesel.
The tune is the first new original song to be shared by UMO since the release of the critically acclaimed Multi-Love LP.
