The Woodhill 360, 6 hour Mountain Bike Event is in its inaugural year. It had to be one of the slickest cross country Mountain bike events on the event calendar, offering a dynamite Single-track course, great food, coffee and an awesome atmosphere. Base FM was there with a team of fit individuals, provide the tunes and dish out the Turn It Up Cds for prize winners across all categories.
The event, created by Auckland endurance mountain biker Tim Farmer was a fundraiser for the WEMBO World Solo 24 Hour Mountain Bike Championship. Tim is a member of Auckland MTB & soon to be a member of Department of Cycling; he has also worked alongside MTBNZ and BikeNZ with the National MTB series. He has created the best little Single Speed event in Auckland, Single Speed Sundays. The funds raised from the event will not only help get Tim to the ‘Worlds’ but he is also putting some of the funds into the ‘Trail Fund’ which will be available for trail building all over Auckland.
