With ‘Lost In NYC’ New Zealand singer, guitarist, beatmaker and rapper Tyna and his The Nok band connect with YGB head honcho/rap talent Tom Scott (of @Peace and Homebrew). Fashioning an aesthetic space which sits somewhere between Tyna’s much loved East Coast Soul Music and hip-hop, they use the textures, tones, rhythms and cadences associated to render a metaphor heavy love story which, hint hint, nudge nudge, is pretty easy to sing along to as well.

With ‘Lost In NYC’ having been out for several weeks as an audio single, the boys recently ramped things up with the release of the official Freshly Ground Creative produced video clip. Set inside a mental health facility, the video features, amongst other things, cameos from Tyna’s LCA crew, some pretty surreal scenes, and a couple of great dance sequences.

You can view ‘Lost IN NYC’ above via YouTube. Look out for a new EP from The Nok in 2014.
