BENN MORRISON has been addicted to music since he first laid his little ears on his Dad’s Bob Marley record at the prime age of 6 years old. Since that nostalgic moment his musical taste has changed and evolved to bloom into a sound blending a variety of funk, soul, hip-hop and reggae tunes, from the down-beat to the up-tempo.

Benn’s selections are silky smooth with a careful consideration to the crowd, vibe and nature of an event. Expect nothing less than tasty beats and spicy rhythms suited to any party occasion. Get ready to shake your hip bones and stomp your good-foot every time Benn jumps in the mix…

R.I.A is a DJ from the early days of Base FM, she is the OG ‘Mixed Bizness’ member, and lady of funk. She is also well-known for her 3 year residency at Malt Bar, ‘The Local’ which rocked Thursday nights induced juicy friday hangovers from 07 – 09/10.

Since those days she’s been DJing, snowboarding and adventuring in Europe and America. She’s now returned to the loving embrace of Base to do a weekly rotation with Benn Morrison.

Since abroad, her musical senses have been stimulated, and although she loves her bass-heavy funk and hip-hop, she’s now re-visiting her 4/4 roots, tinkering with future-disco & deep house. This, combined with her love for funk delivers a fresh, uplifting vibe to the airways.

During her travels she spun in bars and festivals in Europe, America, Australia and Scandinavia including; Burning Man-Nevada, Winter Sessions Weekender-Chamonix and Basscamp Music Festival-Morzine, and supported the likes of Krafty Kuts, A-skills, Soul Of Man, Skitz and Darrison in France, Finnebassen at Skvmlos at Fugazi in Oslo, and has also supported Fort Knox Five, Agent 86, Mark Walton, killer Queens, Yes King and more.
