If it feels good, go with it. This year A Label Called Success has brought together some of New Zealand’s most rare artists for a night to remember. Wear what’s comfortable, drink what tastes good & we’ll see you when we see you.

The debut 2016 ‘A Label Called Success’ curated show will be the first chance to see and hear brand new music from all of the team. Andras Fox (AUS) joins the local lineup, and we nod back to our earlier lives at Cassette 9 – after a lot of time spent listening and dancing.

A Label Called Success is the new boutique record label steered by Connor Nestor and Jordan Arts. The project resulted from talking jive about how much music must be built up on hard-drives around the world that will just never see the light of day for whatever reason. Realising it was happening with many artists in Auckland they wanted to set ALCS as a platform to put these gems out, with no pressure. If it feels good, out it goes. Success is a feeling.

HIGH HØØPS hits the stage after returning from a sold-out show supporting BOOTS in Los Angeles, California as part of the 30 DaysInLA. As one fifth of the supergroup LEISURE, HØØPS is the thugged-out prince of all things palm trees, dusty samples and throwback hooks.

Hugo Jay, will be going deep. He’s one of the head honchos of underground dance music champions Inky Waves. Has a collaboration EP in the wings with Boycrush as well as a forthcoming release with Taste Nasa called Ride Minders.

Onehunga SWIDT member, SPYCC joins us after his 2015/16 festival show at Rhythm and Alps. His tune ‘Other Love’ ft. HIGH HØØPS is just shy of ticking over a quarter of a million plays, and we can’t walk past without hat tipping his remix of Les Sins – Grind.

Manuel Darquet is the newest addition to ‘A Label Called Success’ roster – fresh from supporting Seven Davis Jr & Francis Inferno Orchestra at the Anno Domini event on the roof top of the Auckland Art Gallery – they’re also regulars of Auckland party Friendly Potential.
