EDDIE NUMBERS ‘Wishes’

Written by on February 24, 2013

After a successful year last year, that saw the group’s debut album Another Day In Paradise chart in the top 20 and a busy summer of gigs including the hottest annual festivals – BW Campground, Beach Box, Rhythm And Vines and Northern bass – Eddie Numbers found time to record their second studio EP. With two songs from the EP ‘Numbers Game’ and ‘F.Y.C’ already receiving radio play this four track E.P is their best work yet and it’s a delectable taste of what to expect on the Numbers Game Album set for release later this year.

Numbers Game EP is a reflection upon recent experience’s the band has been through. The frustration of trying to survive as an artist is a balancing act in itself. Then there are the everyday curve balls the world throws at you: break ups, break downs, breakaways, unfair systems, unreasonable demands, untimely debts, late payments, no payments; and the like and the unlike.  ‘Somehow we wine and dine below the poverty line’. ‘If life’s a numbers game why can I only count on me.’ ‘living my dreams so I know I’m getting paid’. A few telling phrases drawn from the EP paint an easily identifiable picture an insight to why they refer to life as, ‘a numbers game.’
